THINKING OUT LOUD

A couple of years ago I had set up a wifi system around my house but it was down, I am thinking of making another one and I am going to name it "wifi republic".

I am going to re-organize my blogs too, now I am testing some templates, trying and testing them at this stage. I am trying to fully utilized the latest blogspot editor. Not doubt that they are better with many needs that are taken care of. However the new blogspot editor lack fluidity where we can used different blog templates for different categories of posts or entries.

However I had thought of this new format. Try anak matlesen to see the new format. The present PERWI is slightly messy as I had attempted to master the new blogspot editor. I think by doing that I had taken extra "memories".

I am still in the learning curve and I may not proceed with the present idea for I have to evaluate either to follow the existing system that blogspot new editor provide or do the necessary such as amending the html on the free template that I had obtained satisfactorily to get a system that I want.

CUBA

The per capita income of Cuba is below USD300.Meaning, theoretically, every Cuban earns barely USD 25/ per month.

Yet Cuba has the best medicare service in the world(every Cuban gets free medical and dental treatment, including for surgery, hospital stay-ins, childbirth, outpatient treatment, pharmaceuticals) and one of the best educational systems in the world(less than 0.3% Cubans are illiterate!) aith free education from nursery school to PHD level.

Vision 2020…not bloody likely!

Ask the kids working at McDonald how much they were being paid per hour? RM3.00 per hour x 8 hours = RM24 per day. Working 25 days a month means they get RM600 per month.

In Australia my daughter works part-time during her University days at Gloria Jeans Coffee. She is paid Aud$14.00 per hour x 8 hours a day =Aud$112 a day x 25 days = Aud$2,800 per month.
(@ RM2.92 per = One Aud Dollar x Aud$2800 = RM8176 per month).

My daughter earns 13.6 times more that the girl at McDonalds in Malaysia.

Our Government lays claim to the fact that Malaysia will be a developed country 2020? A high income country? Let us look further. more>>

How to Profit from the “Big Mac” Index

Ever since 1986, the Economist has published its famed Big Mac Index -- an informal way of measuring the purchasing power parity (PPP) between two currencies. Its purpose is to make complex exchange-rate theory as digestible as... well... a Big Mac.

The theory of purchasing power parity says that a dollar should buy the same amount in all countries. Thus, in the long run, the exchange rate between two countries should move towards the rate that equalizes the prices of an identical basket of goods and services in each country.

By looking at a McDonald's Big Mac -- a good that is produced in about 120 countries -- the Economist's tongue-in-cheek index illustrates how market exchange rates can result in identical goods having different prices in different countries. By comparing the cost of Big Macs across countries, the Big Mac Index calculates the Big Mac PPP -- the exchange rate that would mean hamburgers cost the same in the U.S. as abroad. Compare the Big Mac PPP to the market exchange rates, and voilà!... you see which currencies are under or over valued. more>>

Helpfully, a UBS report published this week offers a handy guide to how long it takes a worker on the average net wage to earn the price of a Big Mac in 73 cities. Fast-food junkies are best off in Chicago, Toronto and Tokyo, where it takes a mere 12 minutes at work to afford a Big Mac. Troops battle for control of Kunduz province

Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has decided to shelve the temple relocation plan in Shah Alam following fierce objections from Section 23 residents at a two-hour public dialogue this morning.
