THINKING OUT LOUD

A couple of years ago I had set up a wifi system around my house but it was down, I am thinking of making another one and I am going to name it "wifi republic".

I am going to re-organize my blogs too, now I am testing some templates, trying and testing them at this stage. I am trying to fully utilized the latest blogspot editor. Not doubt that they are better with many needs that are taken care of. However the new blogspot editor lack fluidity where we can used different blog templates for different categories of posts or entries.

However I had thought of this new format. Try
anak matlesen to see the new format. The present PERWI is slightly messy as I had attempted to master the new blogspot editor. I think by doing that I had taken extra "memories".

I am still in the learning curve and I may not proceed with the present idea for I have to evaluate either to follow the existing system that blogspot new editor provide or do the necessary such as amending the html on the free template that I had obtained satisfactorily to get a system that I want.

In most cases, arthritis is a natural part of aging, and develops over a lifetime of the use of our joints. In healthy joints, the ends of the bones are protected by cartilage, which is a tough smooth tissue that cushions the ends and allows them to glide smoothly across one another. The whole joint is surrounded by synovial fluid, which lubricates and delivers nutrients to the cartilage. [more]

Hussein will be "vested with all rights and privileges pertaining to this decree," the statement said.

King Abdullah succeeded his father -- the late King Hussein -- to the throne in 1999.

Anwar's appeal rejected

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim suffered a setback when the Court of Appeal dismissed his appeal for the latest sodomy trial to be heard at the Sessions Court instead of the High Court.

However, what was important in today's decision was the court deeming the Prime Minister incompetent in giving assurances to the public that Attorney-General (AG) would not be involved in the case or any other cases.

Thousands attend rally to hear Pakatan’s message of unity.

“Umno has failed to bring real unity to the people of Malaysia. Pakatan has decided to reinforce our commitment to each other and together bring about the collapse of the Umno-Barisan Nasional government,” PAS president Hadi Awang told the crowd at the Kelana Jaya Stadium in Selangor.

Despite being a weekday and recent police crackdowns on other Pakatan ceramahs including the DAP’s 43rd anniversary dinner, some 10,000 people turned up at the rally featuring Hadi, DAP’s Lim Kit Siang and PKR adviser Anwar Ibrahim.

They came to see and hear for themselves what the top trio had to say. And they were not disappointed.[more ]

Ku Li : on Petronas governance,

There are reports of a supposed tussle of wills between the prime minister and the board of Petronas over his choice of a non-executive, independent director for the board. I find the way this discussion is being framed in the press and on the blogs a little puzzling.

To begin with, the question of a tussle of wills, so to speak, between the board of Petronas and the prime minister does not arise. The Articles of Association governing Petronas give the prime minister the absolute power to appoint and remove every single member of the board and management. The prime minister has the right to appoint or remove anyone, from the president and chief executive officer down to the company drivers. In particular, every member of the board is an appointee of the prime minister, and represents him on the board.[more]

Google Holodeck: StreetView In 360 Degrees.

May 27, 2009 - Google StreetView images are pretty cool, in how you can virtually spin around and see what’s on a street in all directions. But far cooler is a Google StreetView “Holodeck” simulator that Google has at its Mountain View campus. Climb into this, and you get StreetView scenes animated, projected on screens all around you, as if you were inside the camera itself.

I first saw Holodeck back in October, and it’s been kept pretty quiet within the company since. But now Google has brought it out as part of its Google I/O conference today.

Think of it as CircleVision For Streetview, CircleVision being the popular Disneyland and Disneyworld rides where cameras were used to film in 360 degrees. Images were then projected on the walls all around the audience and could produce such a sense of montion that people used handrails to keep themselves stable at times.[more]

Iranian police officials have reportedly arrested the armed imposters who posed as security forces during post-election violence in the country.

Iran's Basij commander, Hossein Taeb, said Monday that the imposters had worn police and Basij uniforms to infiltrate the rallies and create havoc.

Taeb added that the recent anti-government riots have killed eight members of the Basij and wounded 300 others.

Iranian security officials --and in particularly the Basij volunteer forces-- have been accused of killing and injuring protestors who took to the streets to protest the outcome of the June 12 election -- which saw incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad win by a landslide.[more]
