THINKING OUT LOUD

A couple of years ago I had set up a wifi system around my house but it was down, I am thinking of making another one and I am going to name it "wifi republic".

I am going to re-organize my blogs too, now I am testing some templates, trying and testing them at this stage. I am trying to fully utilized the latest blogspot editor. Not doubt that they are better with many needs that are taken care of. However the new blogspot editor lack fluidity where we can used different blog templates for different categories of posts or entries.

However I had thought of this new format. Try
anak matlesen to see the new format. The present PERWI is slightly messy as I had attempted to master the new blogspot editor. I think by doing that I had taken extra "memories".

I am still in the learning curve and I may not proceed with the present idea for I have to evaluate either to follow the existing system that blogspot new editor provide or do the necessary such as amending the html on the free template that I had obtained satisfactorily to get a system that I want.

As Deputy Premier Najib Razak prepares to succeed Premier Abdullah Badawi on April 1 - yes, April Fool’s Day if news reports are correct - Malaysians can expect a major clampdown on press freedom, political rallies and the overall democratic space they have grown used to during Abdullah’s reign.

Police fired the first salvo yesterday, with Inspector-General Musa Hasan saying he would leave it to state police to decide if they wanted to ban political ceramahs in Perak state, where there is a hardening standoff between the Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional over which is the legitimate state government.

His comments were taken as a harbinger of harsher action to come, and were soundly denounced by both Pakatan leaders and civil society groups, alarmed by the recent wave of cloak-and-dagger intrigue in the local political scene. [read more]

Livni : The Lesser Evil?

And there are those who get pedantic with the above ballpark type of argument, but historical facts speak for themselves.

The Arab leaders allied to the West must be aware that their own territories are very much in danger of getting gobbled up. There is a time scale at play here. The main argument might well be to do with Palestine's fate right now, but in Israel's grand scheme of things the moment will arrive for creation of living space for more Jews arriving to claim their bit of the 'promised land.'

Therefore a negotiated settlement between Palestine and Israel is possibly the last thing on any Israeli leader's mind. The idea is instead to skillfully utilize the world media to demonize whoever stands in Israel's way and play for time until 'greater Israel' is a reality.

In domestic Israeli politics, whichever candidate deemed capable of getting away with murder while providing the grounds for stealing yet more Arab land is elected to head the government.[read more]

UN moves to charge Israel with war crimes

Tue, 10 Feb 2009 07:50:52 GMT | PressTV

Ethical and moral questions linger even among Israeli peace activists over the destruction and civilian deaths wrought by the immense Tel Aviv firepower employed in Gaza.
The United Nations moves to set up a commission to look into Israeli war crimes and respond to its human rights violations in Gaza.

After the United Nations Works and Relief Agency (UNRWA) compound became the target of GPS-guided Israeli mortars on January 15, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned "in the strongest terms this outrageous attack" and called for an inquiry into suspected Israeli war crimes.

"I strongly demand a thorough investigation and punishment for those responsible," he told reporters in Beirut after the attack.

Japanese Ambassador Yukio Takasu, who currently holds the presidency of the Security Council, said late on Monday that Ban had told a closed-door briefing in the council that the UN had set up a commission as a preliminary step to look into Israeli damage to UN premises.[read more]

Updates from Raja Petra Court Hearing Today.

Gobind stated that Gan made a false police report as he did not investigate whether what Raja Petra wrote was true.
